"I approached Bryce about coaching me in the spring of 2021. After seven or eight years of yoyo-ing writing my own training, I had let my fitness atrophy for nearly a year to the point where we were starting from square one. I couldn’t touch my toes or run for more than a minute without my shins hurting. Bryce’s emphasis on consistent training that was sustainable is the only reason I was able to get back into triathlon in any capacity without overtraining myself out of the sport. Most recently, I have set 20-minute FTP and 2-mile TT personal bests with more positive results to come.
Thanks to Bryce, my initial physical assessment at the beginning of our coaching relationship pales in comparison to my current trajectory and I attribute that largely to him as a coach.
A big focus of our coach-athlete relationship has been being deliberate in training. Until I started working with Bryce, I suffered from the “more is more” training mentality and it caused the big ebbs and flows in fitness for many years. Since working with him, I have become more focused on building quality within and across weeks while intelligently managing training load/fatigue to promote sustainability and consistency in training.
Bryce is very patient, communicative, and knowledgeable but I believe the primary reason for our success is that he is stern. Our expectations for each other were laid out in the pre-season contract and I knew he would hold me to them. Bryce is not afraid to let me know where the bull went #2 and I appreciate that about him as a coach. The praise for good workouts is nice, but I’ve found coaches who don’t hold athletes accountable tend to have less success.
Overall I feel that Bryce has not only helped me get back into sport but to develop a better relationship with it. I feel much more confident in my knowledge and abilities going forward and see myself as a more consistent, mature athlete because of my time with him. I would absolutely recommend Bryce as a coach to anyone serious about maximizing their time and potential in sport."

"When I signed up for my first marathon I thought I could do it alone with one of the countless free online training programs. I was so wrong, and I'm so grateful that I had Bryce as a trainer instead.
From the initial planning call through the final marathon debrief, Bryce gave expert guidance that was customized to my goals, needs, and fitness level. He gave me all of the resources I needed when I had questions, and he anticipated my needs when I couldn't think of questions to ask. As a novice runner, I relied on Bryce for everything from gear recommendations to fuel choices to recovery practices and balancing training with everything else in life. The training plan itself and coaching tools were easy to use and follow and I felt physically and mentally challenged, but never overwhelmed.
The physical training was always clear and tailored to when I needed more or less intensity. If you follow the plan, communicate your progress, and trust the process, you'll get the results that you want. What I didn't expect was, in addition to the physical training, Bryce guided me through so much of the mental toughness that is required to do something like run a marathon. Bryce was always there to listen to my anxieties about meeting my goals and did so without judgment or toxic positivity. He pushed me in ways that I would have never pushed myself, and because I trusted him, I was able to work through challenges that I never imagined I could overcome. He went above and beyond to build my confidence and get me to a place where I felt confident on race day.
I ultimately met my marathon goals with Bryce as my trainer, and truly believe that I owe so much of my success to his guidance. If you're debating whether you should work with him, this is your sign to do it. I would jump at the opportunity to work with Bryce again on any future fitness goals."

Bryce was a great coach! He had explanations and reasoning for everything he did during my training and was available to answer any questions I had. I appreciated the reality checks to push more during hard workouts and to actually listen to my heart rate during zone 2 runs. I learned a lot through my marathon training from him and would highly recommend!"
